Your phone should work better indoors.
Aditum Carrier Connect helps your phone stay connected where cellular signals struggle indoors. When your carrier is enabled at the property, compatible phones can automatically use the building’s carrier-integrated connection.
When your property supports Carrier Connect, your phone can recognize the carrier-enabled Wi-Fi automatically. In most cases there is no app, no separate Carrier Connect account, no password, and no captive portal.
Keep Wi-Fi on. Stay connected.
For most phones, Carrier Connect does the rest automatically. Your carrier must be enabled at the property, and your phone must support the service. Carrier Connect uses established Carrier Wi-Fi Offload technology with Passpoint / Hotspot 2.0.
Better mobile service indoors.
Your phone still uses your mobile carrier. Carrier Connect simply gives phones with service from enabled carriers a secure indoor path for calls, messaging, mobile apps, authentication prompts, and mobile data.
Inside apartments
Carrier Connect gives phones with service from enabled carriers a better indoor connection path inside apartments and similar occupied spaces.
Common areas
Hallways, lobbies, offices, amenity spaces, and shared areas can be covered by the same carrier-integrated indoor connection path.
Difficult spaces
Garages, lower floors, interior rooms, and busy indoor areas benefit from a purpose-built indoor connection path.
Your carrier connects you.
Carrier Connect is more than just guest Wi-Fi. When your mobile carrier is enabled at the property, your phone can connect automatically without a separate account, guest password, or sign-in page. It helps keep you connected where cellular signals struggle indoors, using established Carrier Wi-Fi Offload technology with Passpoint / Hotspot 2.0.
Keep Wi-Fi enabled
Keep Wi-Fi turned on so your phone can discover the carrier-enabled connection. You do not need to find a guest password or sign into a captive portal.
Your phone recognizes your carrier
When you enter a Carrier Connect-enabled area, your phone checks whether your mobile carrier is available through the building’s Wi-Fi footprint.
Your carrier authenticates your phone
If your carrier is active at the property, your phone can authenticate automatically through the carrier relationship without a Carrier Connect password.
If your phone does not connect
If your phone doesn’t connect, open your Wi-Fi settings and look for a network name mentioning your carrier. The displayed name can vary by phone, carrier, and configuration. If you still need help, ask your leasing office whether your carrier is enabled. Let your phone connect automatically; checking the list does not require a separate login.
How to use Carrier Connect
- Leave Wi-Fi turned on.
- Use a phone with active service from a carrier enabled at the property.
- Ask the leasing office or property manager whether your mobile carrier is supported at the property.
- Let your phone connect automatically.
What you normally do not need
- Do not look for a Carrier Connect password.
- Do not ask property staff for Wi-Fi credentials for Carrier Connect.
- Do not create a Carrier Connect account.
- Do not manually configure enterprise authentication unless support specifically asks you to.
Know what your phone may show.
Your phone may display your carrier name, Carrier Connect, or a combination of the two. The label can vary by phone, carrier, and configuration. The name alone does not confirm whether your carrier is enabled at the property.
Look for your carrier name
Your phone may show a carrier-specific name in its Wi-Fi network list. This can help you recognize the connection.
Names can vary
Your phone may show Carrier Connect alongside the carrier name. Other phones may use a different label for the same service.
Confirm carrier availability
If your phone does not connect, ask the leasing office whether your carrier is enabled. A displayed network name alone is not a reliable activation check.
Your home internet stays separate.
Your apartment Wi-Fi or wired internet remains the service you use for laptops, streaming devices, smart TVs, consoles, and regular tenant internet access.
Your normal internet
Use your private tenant internet connection for everyday Wi-Fi, wired devices, streaming, gaming, work, and home networking.
Carrier Connect
Carrier Connect is designed for phones with service from enabled mobile carriers. The carrier relationship is what enables the automatic connection.
Check your carrier’s availability.
These carriers are supported by the Carrier Connect platform, but each property may activate a different set of carriers.
Additional carrier-network partners may also be available. If your phone does not connect and you need your carrier supported, talk with the leasing office or property manager.
Built on 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
Carrier Connect uses the building’s 5 GHz Wi-Fi coverage, not 2.4 GHz. That helps keep performance higher for phones using Carrier Connect and keeps the service focused on the intended indoor coverage area.
Support for FirstNet devices.
Where AT&T FirstNet is active, Carrier Connect supports eligible first-responder devices inside the building as part of the enabled carrier set.
Enable Wi-Fi Calling for calls and SMS.
Carrier Connect gives your phone a carrier-integrated internet connection through the building network. If normal cellular service is unavailable or not strong enough for calls or SMS, Wi-Fi Calling must be enabled on your phone so your carrier can use that data connection for calling and messaging.
Secure access through your carrier.
Carrier Connect does not give other tenants access to your device. It is designed around secure carrier authentication and network separation for calls, messaging, mobile apps, two-factor authentication prompts, and mobile data services.
Not connected? Start here.
Because the connection is automatic, the fix is usually a device, carrier, or property activation detail rather than a password problem.
Check Wi-Fi
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. If airplane mode is enabled, Wi-Fi usually needs to be turned back on separately.
Check carrier support
Your mobile carrier must be enabled for Carrier Connect at the property. If you are unsure, ask the leasing office or property manager.
Restart if needed
A phone restart or carrier settings update can help the device recognize the carrier connection available at the property.
Your Carrier Connect questions.
A few quick answers can help you know what to expect when your building offers Carrier Connect.
What is Carrier Connect?
Aditum Carrier Connect helps compatible phones on enabled mobile carriers stay connected indoors. It uses Carrier Wi-Fi Offload with Passpoint / Hotspot 2.0 to let phones discover and authenticate to the building’s carrier-integrated connection automatically.
Do I need a Carrier Connect password or app?
No. Carrier Connect does not use a separate tenant app, password, or account. Keep Wi-Fi on, and enable Wi-Fi Calling if you want your phone to use the data connection for calls and SMS when cellular service is weak or unavailable.
Why does my phone show my carrier name or Carrier Connect?
Your phone may show your carrier name, Carrier Connect, or both. The displayed name depends on the phone, carrier, and configuration. If your phone does not connect, ask the leasing office whether your carrier is enabled; the name alone does not confirm availability.
Is Carrier Connect the same as guest Wi-Fi?
Carrier Connect is more than just guest Wi-Fi. It uses Carrier Wi-Fi Offload with Passpoint / Hotspot 2.0 so compatible phones on enabled carriers can discover and authenticate automatically through their mobile carrier. There is no shared guest password, captive portal, or separate Carrier Connect account.
Why is my phone still connected to my apartment Wi-Fi?
Your phone may prefer a Wi-Fi network you previously joined. That does not necessarily mean Carrier Connect is unavailable. You can continue using your private apartment Wi-Fi normally.
