Better mobile service indoors.

Aditum Carrier Connect helps residents, staff, and visitors stay connected where cellular signals struggle indoors. It uses compatible infrastructure already serving the property to provide carrier-integrated mobile connectivity.

Better indoor mobile service strengthens the resident experience and leasing appeal while making more use of your existing network. Carrier Connect offers an alternative to traditional DAS using compatible Wi-Fi infrastructure.

More from your Zero Touch network.

Carrier Connect is more than just guest Wi-Fi. It uses Wi-Fi Traverse™ on Aditum Connect® Zero Touch AX routers in tenant spaces to create a carrier-integrated connectivity amenity. Residents and visitors with supported phones and enabled carriers can connect automatically without guest passwords or sign-in pages.

The Property Problem

Indoor connectivity shapes resident experience.

The resident experience happens inside the building, not on an outdoor coverage map. Carrier Connect uses the building Wi-Fi to make indoor mobile service part of the property connectivity strategy.

Indoor coverage

Carrier Connect gives phones with service from enabled carriers an indoor connection path in apartments, corridors, offices, common areas, garages, and other hard-to-reach spaces. Carrier Connect coverage extends anywhere the property has supported 5 GHz Wi-Fi coverage from a Wi-Fi Traverse capable Zero Touch Router.

Resident frustration

Better indoor mobile continuity helps properties avoid a painful leasing objection: residents, prospects, and staff noticing that phones do not work reliably inside the building.

More from existing infrastructure

Carrier Connect uses the Wi-Fi Traverse™ functionality of compatible Zero Touch AX routers already in place. Additional supported access points may be needed where coverage requires expansion.

More Than Better Signal

Better coverage. More capacity.

Indoor mobile problems are not only about whether a phone shows bars. They can also appear when the surrounding mobile network is busy or overloaded.

Coverage

Concrete, steel, Low-E glass, lower floors, interior corridors, and parking areas can make outdoor cellular service inconsistent indoors.

Capacity

Mobile data from enabled carriers can use the property’s high-capacity managed network instead of depending entirely on the outdoor cellular network.

Everyday mobile use

The value extends beyond calls to messaging, apps, mobile data, authentication prompts, visitor connectivity, and staff communication.

Property Benefits

An alternative to traditional DAS.

Carrier Connect adds amenity value through better resident connectivity, stronger leasing appeal, and support for staff mobility. It makes more use of the property’s compatible Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Remove a leasing objection

Better indoor mobile connectivity can help remove a leasing objection and give prospective residents greater confidence in the property.

Support staff mobility

Carrier Connect can help leasing, maintenance, security, and operations staff stay connected as they move through covered areas.

An alternative to traditional DAS

Carrier Connect offers an alternative to traditional DAS using your property’s existing compatible Wi-Fi infrastructure.

First Responder Connectivity

Connectivity matters in emergencies.

Your building’s connectivity matters to more than residents. Police, fire, and EMS teams also use mobile data to reach dispatch, access information, and communicate with hospitals alongside their radios. See the research, page 9.

Indoor coverage matters

Outdoor cellular coverage does not guarantee a usable connection throughout a building. Lower floors, basements, and interior spaces can leave responders without the mobile connection they need.

Priority still needs a connection

FirstNet is the nationwide public-safety broadband network operated by AT&T and overseen by the FirstNet Authority. It prioritizes public-safety traffic on its cellular network, but that priority still requires connectivity. Learn about FirstNet.

Another path indoors

Carrier Connect uses the property’s internet connection and compatible Zero Touch Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide another indoor path for supported mobile devices. That includes compatible AT&T FirstNet devices where FirstNet is enabled, with carrier authentication instead of a shared guest password.

The same infrastructure that improves everyday resident connectivity can also help create a better-connected environment for supported first-responder devices entering your property. Carrier Connect keeps this service separate from private tenant networks.

How It Works

Choose carriers. Connect residents.

Carrier Connect is a carrier-integrated connectivity amenity. Phones with service from enabled carriers use built-in functionality to authenticate automatically. There is no Carrier Connect app, property-issued password, captive portal, or separate resident account.

1

Zero Touch provides the coverage

Carrier Connect uses Wi-Fi Traverse functionality on Zero Touch AX series routers already deployed throughout the property.

2

Choose your carriers

The property selects which mobile carriers to support. The system integrator sets up the required network path, and Wi-Fi Traverse handles the carrier-enabled service behavior.

3

Phones connect through their carrier

A phone with service from an enabled carrier uses built-in carrier Wi-Fi functionality to authenticate automatically through that carrier relationship.

4

Tenant internet stays separate

Carrier Connect supports mobile-carrier connectivity. It does not replace private tenant internet service for laptops, TVs, consoles, or everyday in-unit devices.

Carrier Availability

Choose the carriers your property needs.

Carrier Connect lets the property enable carrier support granularly. You can activate the carriers that matter most to residents, staff, visitors, and first responders instead of treating indoor mobile coverage as an all-or-nothing service.

Available carriers

AT&T, AT&T FirstNet, Google Fi, Helium, and additional supported carrier-network partners can be activated without a separate carrier approval step on supported deployments.

Carrier approval where required

These carriers require approval before activation: Verizon, T-Mobile / Metro, T-Mobile / Sprint, and Mint Mobile. Your system integrator can explain current availability for the property.

Rollout

Prepare the network. Activate carriers.

The system integrator prepares the required service path first. After it is ready, the property selects which carriers to enable and Wi-Fi Traverse rolls the carrier configuration out through the managed platform.

1. Prepare the service path

The system integrator prepares the service path before carrier activation is requested.

2. Select the carriers

The property chooses which carriers to enable. Carriers that do not require approval activate immediately, with changes usually rolling out in roughly 20 minutes.

3. Approved carriers activate

For carriers requiring approval, the carrier selection is queued and automatically activates at the property once the carrier approves it.

Pricing

Simple pricing through your integrator.

Carrier Connect is a premium platform capability with straightforward partner pricing. Speak with your system integrator for property-specific details, packaging, and rollout timing.

Privacy

Mobile connectivity. Separate networks.

Carrier Connect is designed around carrier authentication and network separation. From the owner’s perspective, phones with service from enabled carriers connect through the mobile carrier relationship instead of through a property-issued guest password, captive portal, or shared tenant LAN.

Tenant Communication

Explain the service in plain language.

The property message should be simple: if your mobile carrier is active at the property, leave Wi-Fi on and your phone can connect automatically where Carrier Connect is available.

Suggested resident language: Keep Wi-Fi on. For most phones, Carrier Connect does the rest automatically when your carrier is enabled at the property. Your phone must support the service. There is no Carrier Connect password, captive portal, or separate account. If your phone does not connect, ask the leasing office whether your carrier is enabled.

FAQ

Your Carrier Connect questions.

These are the practical questions owners and property teams tend to ask before rollout.

Is Carrier Connect a DAS replacement?

Carrier Connect can address many indoor mobile connectivity needs using compatible Wi-Fi infrastructure. Some properties still require a conventional DAS. Your system integrator evaluates the building’s coverage needs and carrier requirements to determine the right approach.

Does Carrier Connect require new hardware?

Carrier Connect leverages the 5 GHz Wi-Fi footprint created by Wi-Fi Traverse and Zero Touch AX series routers. Where coverage needs expansion, compatible cAP ax access points can be added behind Zero Touch routers.

Which carriers can a property enable?

The property can choose the carriers that matter for residents, staff, and first responders. Some carriers activate immediately after the network path is ready, while approval-gated carriers activate automatically once approved by the carrier.

Is Carrier Connect just guest Wi-Fi?

Carrier Connect is more than just guest Wi-Fi. It uses Carrier Wi-Fi Offload with Passpoint / Hotspot 2.0, Wi-DAS carrier integration, and Wi-Fi Traverse so compatible phones on enabled carriers can authenticate automatically. The property gains an indoor mobile connectivity amenity without shared guest passwords, captive portals, or separate resident accounts.

Can Carrier Connect help first responders?

Yes. Compatible phones on enabled carriers, including AT&T FirstNet where activated, can use the property’s Carrier Connect coverage for an additional indoor mobile connection. Carrier authentication avoids a shared guest password or separate Carrier Connect login. The service remains separate from private tenant networks.

Does Carrier Connect replace emergency communications?

Carrier Connect supplements mobile connectivity. It does not replace public-safety radios or agency communication procedures. FirstNet cellular priority and preemption do not automatically extend to the property’s Wi-Fi network. Availability depends on enabled carriers, compatible devices, indoor coverage, power, and internet connectivity.
