Multi-factor authentication options.
Aditum™ portal accounts support MFA so partner and property users have added protection when accessing sensitive service, billing, and account controls.
Choose the MFA mode that fits the account.
Email verification
Email verification is the default MFA mode. When a user signs in, the portal sends a one-time code to the registered email address before completing the login.
- Simple for users to understand.
- No additional third-party setup is required.
- Validated devices are remembered for 30 days unless the user signs out, resets the password, or otherwise clears the remembered status.
Duo Enterprise MFA
Duo Enterprise MFA is available for organizations that need stronger control and a mobile push-based authentication workflow.
- Uses Duo push notifications through the Duo mobile app.
- Supports more controlled authentication behavior for partner or client accounts.
- Requires re-authentication when more than 6 hours have elapsed since the last Duo authorization.
When to use each option.
Use email MFA when simplicity matters most.
Email verification is a good baseline for accounts that need MFA protection without adding a separate identity workflow or mobile app dependency.
Use Duo when policy control matters more.
Duo is better suited for organizations that already standardize on Duo or need a stronger authentication policy for administrator access.
